Earlier this month my parents, my older brother, and I enjoyed a performance by SAS at Lincoln Meadows.

I decided to see if I could learn more about them, and found their website here:   Here are some things I found there:

– – “You may know us as Sharon Rae and the Shelly Davis trio, Sunyatta, Sharon and Shelly or just SAS. We’ve travelled east, west, north and south and we are glad to call Colorado our home.”

– – “We play music to remind the audience and ourselves that love is supreme. We perform jazz, soul, pop and originals to express love and be thought-provoking for the advancement of higher consciousness.”

– – “Shelly met Sharon Rae at a jazz jam he was hosting and they began working together, co-leading jazz and pop groups. They married and soon landed a 10 year gig with Rivership Romance Cruises, doing weekly jazz cruises and dinner dance music. Sharon and Shelly (also known as Sunyatta) worked theme parks, resorts, clubs and cruises for 25 years in Florida…”

– – “We are music ministers with a vision for world peace, compassion, healing and love . . . We became music directors at Unity Church in Littleton, 2008. We occasionally travel and perform at other like-minded centers.”

Who is Leonard Barrett?

November 25, 2017

That is the question I asked at the front desk of Lincoln Meadows yesterday.

As I walked down a hall with my parents, I noticed a sign announcing that Leonard Barrett would be performing at 2:30 pm.

In response to my question, Brenda, at the front desk, simply said to have my parents attend, that they would enjoy it.

She was right.

I found this interview of Leonard Barrett conducted at the time of his appearance at another assisted living center in Colorado.

I also found this article:  For Leonard Barrett, beating MS is no impossible dream.
