One of the individuals, Gail Halvorsen, was the president of one of my BYU stakes when I was a student.
I was also able to hear the man from Nepal speak at a fireside in Provo a few months ago. His daughter, also in the film, and quite a character, also spoke. She was just starting her freshman year at BYU.
These are definitely some “outlier” members, exemplary and high achievers. They are inspiring examples, but also inspiring are the lives of those who are not depicted, those members who are striving, who are enduring and acting on faith and hope during times of trial and struggle.
