WSJ / Peggy Noonan: “What Voters See in Donald Trump – His rise is not due to anger at government. It is a gesture of contempt for government.”

Peggy Noonan explains why Trump appeals to his supporters more articulately than Trump himself ever could.

For me, Trump brings to mind this memorable quote from Barack Obama from 2008 or earlier:  “I serve as a blank screen on which people of vastly different political stripes project their own views.” (this reportedly comes from “The Audacity of Hope”)

I have no idea what Trump would actually do if he ever did become president.

I do not believe his supporters know.

And, for that matter, I do not believe Trump knows.
