Film: “I’ve Loved You So Long” (French)

This film is scheduled to be shown next week at BYU’s International Cinema, but I beat the crowd by watching it on a DVD I checked out from the Orem Public Library today.

Here’s the synopsis from the International Cinema website:  “Juliette is a frail, haunted woman, an ex-doctor who’s a shell of her former self. Having served 15 years in prison, she’s back on the `outside’. With nowhere else to go, she comes to live with her loving but estranged sister. Together the sisters embark on a painful but redemptive journey back from life’s darkest edge in this gutsy and understated drama of struggle and salvation. 2008 | directed by Philippe Claudel| French | 117 minutes | color”

A wikipedia article on the film indicates that several critics included this work on their list of ten best films of 2008.
