Brother Mark Walton taught the Deacons Quorum of a woman he taught on his mission. She was a chain smoker. She gained a testimony of the gospel. It took her 18 months to overcome her smoking addiction and qualify for baptism in the LDS Church. To me the story evidences the power of testimony, and the nobility of the human spirit to persevere in pursuit of a righteous desire of profound importance.
